Background
Mr. Zakheim is a technology expert in Process Engineering, Filtration and Dispersion processes, delivering value by identifying process gaps, equipment optimization, rapid scale-up protocol and new opportunities by applying a fundamental technical approach founded on extensive experience working with Inkjet, Tedlar & Solvent and Waterborne automotive nano-particle dispersions (color concentrates) and finished products. Global Manufacturing Technology Team – Coatings plant design, debugging and start-up of media milling and filtration processes.
Exceptional global filtration process career with DuPont Performance Coatings (DPC) Research & Manufacturing Technology groups. Broad experiences resolving complex and subtle quality issues, working in conjunction with leading global filter media suppliers, across eleven global DPC manufacturing sites (in China, India, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Belgium, Canada & U.S.) in addition to broad global customers including HP Inkjet and OEM assembly plants’ troubleshooting / support (Ford, GM, VW, Toyota & Honda).
Extensive experience using a broad range of filter technologies including filter bags & cartridges, plate & frame filters and flat media applied to Inkjet inks, polymer resins, E-coat, primers, WB & SB topcoats and clear-coat product families. Provides cost effective filter processes designed to remove visible particulates & crater causing contaminants from Automotive coatings & clear-coat products.
Over twenty years experience with state-of-the-art high energy media milling processes, lower energy horizontal & vertical media milling processes including basket mills, bulk powder delivery systems including hands on experience with hi-shear rotor / stator processes, formula optimization and design of filtration systems over a broad product viscosity spectrum.
